Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 31, 2026 · GatherAgain is operated by BigTopa, LLC ("GatherAgain," "we," "us").

GatherAgain helps groups plan reunions and stay connected between them. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — for the organizers who run a group and the members and attendees they bring together.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide and information generated as you use the platform:

• Account & group data — names, email addresses, and group details for organizers and co-organizers.
• Member & attendee data — contact details, class year or affiliation, guest names, RSVPs, ticket purchases, dietary or accessibility notes, and any other details an organizer collects in a form.
• Payment data — ticket amounts, contributions, refunds, and receipts. Card and bank details are processed by our payment provider (see below); we do not store full card numbers.
• Memories & content — photos, posts, messages, guest books, and documents shared inside a group.
• Usage & device data — log data, device and browser information, and cookies used to operate and improve the service.

How we use information

• To provide and operate the platform — event pages, RSVPs, ticketing, fund collection, messaging, and the shared group space.
• To process payments and send receipts and event confirmations.
• To enable organizers to communicate with their group and attendees (organizers control these communications).
• To secure the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
• To improve features and support.

Tickets, contributions & payments

Payments are processed by Stripe and other selected providers. Their handling of payment information is governed by their own privacy terms. GatherAgain receives transaction metadata (amount, status, what it was for) needed to record ticket sales and contributions, issue receipts, and report to the organizer.

Organizers as data controllers

When an organizer uses GatherAgain to run a group or event, that organizer (and the group they represent) is the controller of the group's data and GatherAgain acts as a processor on their behalf. Requests to access, correct, or delete attendee or member data should be directed to the relevant organizer; we assist organizers in fulfilling those requests.

Photos & memories

Photos, posts, and other memories shared in a group are visible to that group according to the settings the organizer chooses. They are not public unless an organizer explicitly makes them so. If you appear in a photo you'd rather not have shared, contact the organizer — they can remove it, and we can help if they don't.

Hibernation & dormant groups

Groups can hibernate between reunions. While a group is hibernating we retain its data so it can be picked up right where it left off, and we stop sending group communications on its behalf. A hibernating group can be reactivated by an organizer at any time. If a group stays dormant for more than 24 months, we may notify organizers before deleting or anonymizing its data.

Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with: service providers who help us operate the platform (under contract); the group whose space the data belongs to; and authorities where required by law. GatherAgain does not display third-party advertising.

Cookies

We use necessary cookies to run the service and, where permitted, analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as a group is active or hibernating and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Organizers can request export or deletion of their group's data subject to legal record-keeping requirements (for example, payment records).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact the organizer of the group that holds your data, or reach us at privacy@gatheragain.co and we will route your request appropriately.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — including encryption in transit and at rest and access controls — to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify affected parties of incidents as required by law.

Children

GatherAgain is intended for organizers and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Where a group includes families, organizers are responsible for any information they collect about minors.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "last updated" date; material changes will be communicated as required.
